07/22 New concert series "Climate Concerts"
On 16 July 2022, the first concert of the new concert series "Climate Concerts", which Sophia initiated together with the baroque cellist Salome Ryser, took place in Munich. This new concert format brings together climate issues relevant to everyday life and baroque music in one event. The aim is to draw attention to the climate crisis without accusations and to offer everyday solutions. Five more climate concerts will take place in the 2022/23 season.

08/21 Scholarship of the German Music Competition
In August 2021 the German Music Competition took place in Freiburg, Germany. Sophia won a scholarship and will play a series of concerts in the season 2022/2023 as a member of "Konzertförderung Deutscher Musikwettbewerb".

05/21 Premiere of "Ayre for John Dowland" by Moritz Eggert
On May 27th, 2021 Sophia Schambeck premiered the piece "Ayre for John Dowland (her sad infamy sings)" by Moritz Eggert at Schwere Reiter Munich. The piece is one of the pieces that were commissioned by Sophia for medieval double recorder.

04/21 1st Prize at the Kulturkreis Gasteig Music Competition
Sophia receives the first prize as well as the public prize of the Kulturkreis Gasteig Music Competition 2021 in the category "historical performance practice".
